Fully vaccinated individuals (students and staff alike) now have the option to go mask-free at the Paul Hall Center for Maritime Training and Education, located in Piney Point, Maryland. The union-affiliated school also recently updated its rules to allow for fully vaccinated students to come and go from the campus during their respective stays. In both cases, proof of vaccination is required.
The full description of protocols (it’s a seven-page PDF file) is available HERE
The recent updates are included in this paragraph:
“Once you arrive on campus you WILL NOT be permitted to leave base unless you are fully vaccinated and have obtained your vaccine badge. Fully vaccinated persons are those who have received the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna OR the single dose Johnson & Johnson, at least two weeks prior. Fully vaccinated persons must bring a copy (paper or digital) of their vaccination card to the Admissions Office during class check-in to receive a vaccine badge. The vaccine badge will allow those who are fully vaccinated to come and go from the campus. All student badges will be checked by gate security prior to leaving and re-entering the campus. This includes during exercising (walking, running, riding bikes, etc.). In addition, those who are fully vaccinated have the OPTION of wearing a mask while on school property. Students who are NOT fully vaccinated MUST wear masks while on school property and continue to observe social distancing.”
