Members Have Chance to Support Waterfront Classic (3/26)

Back to News

The union-affiliated Paul Hall Center will host the second annual Seafarers Waterfront Classic fishing tournament on April 29, and SIU members are invited to participate. This is a joint fundraiser conducted by the Paul Hall Center’s Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship and the Wounded Warrior Anglers. The event will take place at the school in Piney Point, Md.

Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For each Seafarer, a contribution of $200 covers room and board plus a day of fishing (rain or shine) aboard one of 10 boats that have been chartered. Checks should be made payable to LMSS and must be received by April 10. They should be mailed to:

As was the case with last year’s inaugural event, proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Anglers and the school, which recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation of its waterfront. Proceeds that go to the school will be used to help pay down the debt on the waterfront project.
