The U.S. Coast Guard sent the following alert Wednesday morning, October 31:

Regional Exam Center Weather Update

REC New York is closed indefinitely due to the effects of Hurricane SANDY. All other REC’s are operating on a normal schedule.

Merchant Mariner applications may be submitted via email, fax, or USPS to any other REC.  Please see (http://www.uscg.mil/nmc/recs/) for addresses/locations.  We will provide updates regarding REC New York once we are able to access the site and assess the damage.
