Federation offers resources for voting (9/24)

A post on the AFL-CIO Now Blog – available by clicking HERE, -- notes absentee ballots already are available in 13 states. The post by Seth Michaels further points out that for 23 states, voter registration deadlines fall from Oct. 4-7.

The federation has put together a comprehensive web site, Working Families Vote 2008, available at www.aflcio.org/issues/politics/statebystate.cfm

The site contains important voting information for every state and the District of Columbia. Visitors may use it to register to vote, learn about organized labor’s efforts leading up to Election Day (Nov. 4), secure information about early voting, and more.

Other online resources include the Federal Voting Assistance Program web site at www.fvap.com/
