Liberty ship sails in August (7/3)

The S.S. John W. Brown next month will make two stops in Massachusetts and one in Maine.

Baltimore-based Project Liberty Ship has announced that the World War II-era vessel will visit (in order) Buzzards Bay, Mass. (August 13-15); Portland, Maine (August 16-22); and Boston (August 23-28). The voyage is themed “Yankee Adventure 2007.”

The public is invited to board the vessel for dock-side tours of the ship in each port. In addition, Project Liberty Ship will conduct “Living History Cruises” from Portland and Boston.

The Brown tentatively is scheduled to sail from Baltimore on August 11 and will return to its home port on August 30.

For the latest information on Yankee Adventure 2007, visit www.liberty-ship.com or call (410) 558-0646.
