REC opening in Metairie (1/26)

The U.S. Coast Guard has issued the following release, which also is available on the agency’s web site HERE

REGIONAL EXAM CENTER RETURNS TO NEW ORLEANS AREA

MORGAN CITY, La. - The limited-service regional exam center located in Morgan City is scheduled to close Thursday at noon and will be relocated to Metairie, La., Feb. 6.

The new location at 201 Hammond Highway, Metairie, LA, 70005, is scheduled to operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Personnel at the regional exam center will be able to provide such limited services as identification and fingerprinting services and oath administration.

While a phone number for the new regional exam center has not been established, mariners seeking assistance may also contact any of the following regional exam centers:
