LA/Long Beach REC relocates (3/14)

The U.S. Coast Guard recently issued the following press release noting that its Los Angeles/Long Beach Regional Exam Center will move later this month. The release also is available on the agency’s web site HERE

LOS ANGELES-LONG BEACH REGIONAL EXAM CENTER MOVE

LOS ANGELES – The United States Coast Guard, Los Angeles-Long Beach Regional Exam Center will be moving locations to better serve the maritime community in late March 2006. The Regional Exam Center, which issues licenses and documents to 16,000 area merchant mariners, will be relocating from its Seaside Avenue, Terminal Island location to the sixth floor of the Long Beach Federal Building located at 501 W. Ocean Blvd. Suite 6200, Long Beach, California. The Regional Exam Center will be closing its Seaside Avenue location on March 23 and is scheduled to reopen to the public at its new Long Beach location on April 13. All mail-in credentialing business should be sent to the following new address starting on April 10, 2006:
