Maritime Industry Advisory (9/3)

The U.S. Coast Guard issued a Maritime Industry Advisory stating that the Seamen's Church Institute, in conjunction with Ministry on the River, has established a universal contact number [1-800-708-1998] to assist maritime companies affected by Hurricane Katrina. Individual mariners may call the number to obtain information about the location of displaced companies. Companies may call the number to help locate missing mariners and publicize new contact information.
