By a nearly unanimous tally, SIU members employed by Inland Lakes Management have approved a new five-year contract. The agreement calls for wage increases and better health benefits (with members and their dependents covered under “Plan G,” the union’s premier benefits package). The pact also boosts the vacation benefit. Approximately 60 members are covered by the contract. They crew three vessels for Inland Lakes Management, which has offices in Alpena, Mich. and Muskegon, Mich.
