Nearly 40 units of blood on were collected Nov. 6 during an American Red Cross blood drive at the Paul Hall Center for Maritime Training and Education in Piney Point, Md.

The drive marked yet another in a string of successful campaigns, according to Ms. Sharon Thompson, the Registered Nurse at the institution’s clinic who helps coordinate the quarterly campaigns. Forty-eight people registered to be potential blood donors.
Thompson said she was pleased with the turnout and added that in addition to members of the school’s staff, its upgraders and apprentices also should be commended for their continued support to this worthwhile endeavor.
