Illegal immigrants arrested at Wyoming AFB (2/28)

During a raid at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, conducted recently by the Denver District of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, 37 illegal immigrants employed as construction workers were arrested. The illegal immigrants were employed by a company hired to do work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. While it is believed the workers have no terrorist connections, they were not authorized to work in the United States, and the documents they used to obtain work are under investigation. Immigration officials are still trying to determine whether the workers had access to secure areas at the base.

F.E. Warren Air Force Base, located three miles west of Cheyenne, Wyo., is home to two Air Force units that oversee hundreds of intercontinental ballistic nuclear missiles in silos across the Plains.
